07:00 - 08:30 | CUA Accredited Course # 1: Treatment Optimization of the Perioperative Patient: Anticoagulation, Adjuvant High-risk Kidney Cancer, and Post-prostatectomy Incontinence Management
What are the best practices in managing your perioperative patients who are taking anticoagulants? Are you concerned about the possibility of recurrence of RCC or the effective management of PPI in your perioperative patients? This educational forum will use a case-based approach to provide you with options in how to balance risk and optimize treatment in these patients. The first presentation will highlight the management of bleeding risk in your patients, with a focus on the challenges of stopping and restarting direct-acting oral anticoagulants (DOACs). A second presentation will offer you the evidence you need in order to identify and treat patients at high risk for recurrence of RCC who would benefit from adjuvant treatment. Finally, you will also gain a clearer picture of appropriate treatment options for your patients with PPI. This program will equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to improve care for your patients.
